1. Introduction & Company Information
These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase, restoration, and delivery of restored electro-mechanical amusement machines, pinball tables, arcade cabinets, and spare parts supplied by Retro Fruity Boards Ltd ("the Company", "we", "us", or "our"), having its registered workshop at Skypark 1, 8 Elliot Place, Glasgow, G3 8EP, United Kingdom.
By placing an order, submitting an equipment consultation enquiry, or accepting a commercial quotation from us, you ("the Customer", "the Collector") agree to be bound by these Terms in full.
2. Domestic Recreational Entertainment Classification
All machines offered by the Company are vintage commercial-grade electro-mechanical and solid-state amusement machines that have been decommissioned from commercial venues and restored exclusively for private domestic recreational entertainment, private collector displays, and corporate breakout areas.
All cabinets are configured to operate on custom brass souvenir tokens or electronic free-play credit buttons. No machines are supplied for real-money wagering or commercial operation. Ownership for private domestic amusement complies fully with applicable UK entertainment equipment legislation without requiring commercial operating licenses.
3. Equipment Order & Quotation Process
Because authentic commercial cabinets are substantial items with specific delivery requirements, our website operates on an order consultation and formal invoice basis:
- Online Submission: Submitting equipment through our cart constitutes an initial consultation request and does not constitute a binding financial transaction.
- Logistics Review: Our workshop assesses property access (e.g., ground floor, stairs, door clearance) and calculates dedicated white-glove transport.
- VAT Invoice: A formal pro-forma VAT invoice detailing equipment specifications, serial numbers, and delivery date is issued for payment via bank transfer.
4. 12-Month Comprehensive Collector Warranty
Every fully restored machine supplied by Retro Fruity Boards Ltd includes our comprehensive 12-month parts and labour warranty covering:
- Power Supply Modules: Complete coverage of internal transformers, rectifiers, and recapped voltage regulators.
- MPU Logic Motherboards: Coverage of main processors, RAM/ROM sockets, memory storage, and bus architecture.
- Reel Stepper Assemblies: Optical sensor alignment, drive transistors, and stepper motors.
- Sound Amplification: Audio amplifiers, power harnesses, and cabinet speaker drivers.
The warranty excludes damage resulting from unauthorized third-party modifications, liquid ingress, physical impact, improper storage in damp outbuildings, or connection to non-standard power supplies.
5. White-Glove Transport & Property Access
Machines weigh between 90kg and 140kg. Delivery is carried out by our trained two-man technical crew in dedicated air-ride transport:
- The Customer is responsible for verifying that hallways, stairwells, and doorways meet the exterior dimensions listed in the product specifications.
- Delivery includes ground-floor room placement, leg leveling, initial live play test, and removal of transit packaging.
- Any complex stair access or window hoist requirements must be declared in writing prior to delivery scheduling.
6. 14-Day Collector Return Privilege
In compliance with the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, private consumers purchasing remotely are entitled to a 14-day inspection privilege starting from the date of physical receipt.
If a cabinet does not meet your expectations, you may request a return within 14 calendar days. The equipment must be returned in the identical condition as delivered, with all original keys, documentation, and brass tokens. The Customer is responsible for the direct costs of return white-glove transport.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from equipment downtime or delayed delivery schedules caused by adverse weather or road closures. Our total aggregate liability under any contract of sale shall not exceed the total price paid for the equipment.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Both parties irrevocably agree that the courts of Scotland shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute.
